Minoan Antiquities
Knossos Palace
House of King Minos and Minotaur.
The connection between Knossos and Greek mythology is strong, particularly with the myth of the labyrinth and the Minotaur, a creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man, which was said to be confined in a labyrinth constructed by Daedalus.
The archaeological site of Knossos is open to the public, allowing visitors to explore the ruins and gain insights into the Minoan civilization. The site is located just a few kilometers south of Heraklion and is easily accessible.
